Delicious Golden Rum Cake

Ingredients for Golden Rum Cake:

  • 1 package (18.25 ounces) yellow cake mix
  • 1 package (3.4 ounces) instant vanilla pudding mix
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 1/2 cup dark rum (divided)
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1 cup granulated sugar

How to Make Golden Rum Cake:

  1. Preheat oven to 325°F (165°C). Grease and flour a 10-inch Bundt pan. Sprinkle chopped nuts evenly over the bottom of the pan.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the cake mix, pudding mix, eggs, 1/2 cup water, oil, and 1/4 cup rum. Blend for 2 minutes on high speed. Pour batter over nuts in the pan.
  3. Bake for 60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the cake comes out clean. Cool for 10 minutes in the pan.
