How to make Hot Chocolate Bombs:

  1. Melt the chocolate: Place the chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl and microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring between each interval, until melted and smooth.
  2. Prepare the molds: Using a silicone mold (spherical or half-sphere), spoon about 1-2 tablespoons of melted chocolate into each cavity. Use the back of the spoon to spread the chocolate up the sides of the mold, creating a shell. Place the mold in the freezer for about 5 minutes to set.
  3. Fill the shells: Remove the mold from the freezer and carefully remove the chocolate shells from the mold. Fill half of the shells with hot cocoa mix and mini marshmallows. If desired, add additional toppings like sprinkles, crushed candy canes, or chocolate chips.
  4. Seal the bombs: Heat a plate in the microwave for about 30 seconds. Place an empty chocolate shell on the plate to slightly melt the edges. Immediately place it on top of a filled shell and gently press to seal the two halves together. Repeat with the remaining shells.
