  • ¼ cup (60ml) boiling water

How to Make Easy Marble Cake:

  1. Preheat and Prepare:
    Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9-inch (23cm) round cake pan or line it with parchment paper for easy removal.
  2. Mix Dry Ingredients:
    In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt. Set aside.

    In a small bowl, mix the cocoa powder and boiling water until smooth. Let it cool to room temperature.
  4. Cream Butter and Sugar:

    Beat in the eggs one at a time, ensuring each is fully incorporated before adding the next. Mix in the vanilla extract.
  6. Combine Dry Ingredients:
    Gradually add the flour mixture to the butter mixture, alternating with the milk. Begin and end with the flour mixture, mixing until just combined after each addition.
  7. Marble Effect:
    Transfer about half of the batter to another bowl. Mix the cocoa mixture into one half until well combined.
  8. Layer and Swirl:
    Spoon dollops of vanilla and chocolate batter alternately into the prepared pan. Use a knife or skewer to gently swirl the batters together for a marbled effect.
