How to Make Hungarian Goulash

Step 1: Brown the Beef

  1. Heat vegetable oil in a large pot or Dutch oven over medium-high heat. Add the beef cubes in batches and brown them on all sides. Remove and set aside.

Step 2: Sauté Onions and Garlic

  1. In the same pot, add chopped onions and sauté until softened and translucent, about 5-7 minutes. Add minced garlic and cook for another minute until fragrant.
